Privacy

The short version

The calendar maker runs in your browser. Notes you enter are stored locally on your device and are not sent to Joly Calendar. You can use the core tool without an account. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, but it only runs if you accept the cookie prompt; it never affects the calendar tool itself.

Information you provide

Joly Calendar does not currently offer user accounts or accept calendar uploads. If you email us, we receive the address and information contained in your message.

Local browser storage

The site uses local storage to remember calendar notes on the device and browser you use. Clearing site data may delete those notes. Avoid entering sensitive information such as account numbers, medical details, or passwords.

Share links

The “Copy share link” button builds a web address that encodes your display settings only: the layout, starting date, number of months, paper size, orientation, theme, preset, which holidays are shown, and the calendar’s title if you set one. It does not include your notes, family members, recurring activities, habit trackers, or grocery list; those stay in local storage on the device where you entered them and are never added to a share link. Anyone who opens the link gets a calendar with the same settings, starting blank, not a copy of your saved content.

Technical data

Our hosting provider may process routine request data such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs to deliver and protect the site.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see which pages people find useful. It is off by default: nothing is stored or sent to Google until you click “Accept” on the cookie prompt that appears on your first visit, and clicking “Reject” keeps it off. You can change your answer at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and revisiting. Google Analytics does not receive your calendar notes, which stay in your browser’s local storage regardless of this choice. No advertising or ad-tracking code is included yet; if that changes, this policy and the site’s consent controls will be updated first.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell calendar notes or email content. Service providers may process limited technical data to host, secure, or operate the site. We retain correspondence only as reasonably needed to respond and meet legal obligations.

Your choices

You can clear local notes through your browser’s site-data controls. You can also browse with cookies restricted, although future advertising features may be limited.

Children

Joly Calendar is a general-audience planning tool and is not directed to children under 13.
